All Star History: 

Sonshine Academy was established in 1991 and is owned and operated by Scott & Elsie Rose Wright. The mission of Sonshine Academy is to provide quality instruction in a fun, safe, and wholesome environment. We believe children can experience their “specialness”, their uniqueness as a creation of God by learning athletic and artistic skills in a positive, encouraging environment. In this type of environment not only is their self-esteem affirmed, but they also learn respect for authority and for others. In short, our goal is to cooperate with parents to develop their child’s “ability to shine”.

From the inception, tumbling and cheer classes have been a part of the classes available for student.  In 1998 Sonshine Academy’s Cheer Force All Star Program began and has since successfully trained hundreds of cheer athletes. Cheer Force has an incredible staff with years of experience and tons of enthusiasm. They are credentialed in levels 1-5 through USASF (United States All-Star Federation). Cheer Force has multiple All Star squads including both boys and girls ranging in age from 4-18 years. Cheer Force squads have won multiple State, Regional, and National titles, Grand Champion titles, and are the current Arkansas State Champions in 2 divisions.

Along with competitive All Star cheerleading; tumbling, stunt, and recreational cheer classes are also offered. Our 32,000 sq. ft. climate controlled, state-of-the-art facility gives every athlete the opportunity to learn new skills in a safe and fun environment. We have squads and programs for athletes of every age and experience level – come check us out!!
 

Facility:
Sonshine Academy is one of the premier gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, and swimming facilities in the state of Arkansas. This 32,000 sq. ft. climate controlled, state-of-the-art facility gives every athlete the opportunity to maximize his or her talents. Our building and equipment were carefully designed and purchased with utmost thought given to safety and performance. We want our students to be in the most fun, safe, and awesome training facility possible.

Our 4 lobbies are spacious, clean, and have lots of windows. We provide this amenity because we know that parents want to see their children and watch their progress. We also have very large restrooms that have no doors to the entrance so that little fingers and toes don’t get smashed. In addition there are also dressing areas for the students who need to get ready before their class. Our gym area is covered in carpet so that feet stay clean and warm.
